A motorcyclist stopped in the middle of the roadway has been struck and killed in Russell County.
Kentucky State Police said troopers responded to the accident on Friday night at approximately 8:45 on Hwy 379.
The state police investigation showed that 55-year-old William Miller, of Russell Springs, was traveling north on a 2004 Honda Shadow when he stopped in the middle of the roadway for unknown reasons.
“Due to the limited visibility of the motorcycle created by vehicular and environmental conditions,” state police said 33-year-old Daniel Turner, of Magnolia, was unable to see Miller and struck the motorcycle in the rear in a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500.
Miller was transported to Russell County Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
