
Darlene Allgood Hager, age 69 of Custer, KY passed away September 4, 2025, at her residence. She was born in Louisville, KY on December 6, 1955.
Darlene was an employee of the United States Department of Agriculture where she was an office manager for Rural Development. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education from Western Kentucky University. She taught Ag for a short period at South Hopkins High School before beginning her career with USDA.
She was very strong in her faith and was a member of Constantine Methodist Church where she played the piano for services. She was very interested in history and spent many hours at the Breckinridge County Archives Office doing research as well as family genealogy.
She enjoyed reading, working and family gatherings. She was a wonderful aunt to her nieces and nephews and traveled with them when they were younger.
Darlene is preceded in death by her infant, her father Howard Allgood, brother Randy Allgood and half- brother Russell Allgood.
She is survived by Kenneth, her husband of 30 years. Mother: Alma Allgood of Custer, KY; Brother: Terry Allgood and his wife Sue of Custer, KY; Nieces and nephews: Renee Wright, Lesley Aulick, Collin Allgood, Scott Allgood and Brett Allgood; Great nieces and nephews: Haley Squires, Silas Aulick, Maggie Allgood, Isaac Aulick and Sawyer Allgood
Funeral services will be held at Constantine Methodist Church on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 12 PM with burial in the Mt. Olive Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Tuesday, 1 – 8 PM and Wednesday at the
church after 9 AM. All times are central.
