A Hardin County man has died in an industrial accident in Scott County.
The accident happened Saturday morning at International Crankshaft, according to the Scott Co. Coroner’s Office, and resulted in the death of 35-year-old Richard Thurman, of Elizabethtown.
The Scott Co. Coroner’s Office told WKYT.com that Thurman was a maintenance contractor for an industrial machine at the Georgetown plant.
Another person was injured in the accident. The condition of that person has not been disclosed.
The Scott County Coroner’s Office, Georgetown Police Department and OSHA are leading the investigation.
