Barbara Ann Aubrey, age 81, of Big Clifty, KY, passed away Friday, (September 26, 2025) at her home.
She was born on January 15, 1944 in Louisville, KY, the daughter of the late Henry and Christina Rogers Pierce.
She was an assembly line worker who enjoyed reading, making ceramics and glassware, spending time with family and friends and watching her favorite TV shows. She formerly attended the St. Paul Catholic Church.
She is survived by her children, Sandra Aubrey and Duane Aubrey, both of Big Clifty, Michael Aubrey of Clarkson; four grandchildren, Jason Hayes, Caleb Langley, Blake Aubrey & Blaine Aubrey; nine great-grandchildren, Brian, Jackson, Chloe, Payton, Leighton, Jayden, Anthony, Hollis, & Cade; a great-great granddaughter, Oaklynn; two brothers, George Pierce (Betty) of Bardstown & Donald Joseph Pierce of Somerset; and one sister, Janet White. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Wilbur Lee Aubrey; a sister Regina Pierce; three brothers, Carl, Raymond, John Pierce; and an infant brother Ronald Pierce.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation was chosen and a Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. CST on Saturday, (October 4, 2025) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield.
Barbara’s family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Baptist Health Hardin, Springview Nursing and Rehab, and Hosparus of Central Kentucky for the excellent care she received in her final days.
