Dennie Lee Cummings, age 67, of Falls of Rough, KY, passed away Wednesday, (October 01, 2025) at his home surrounded by family.
He was born on March 08, 1958 in Brownsville, KY, the son of Marcella Cummings and the late Dwight “DL” Cummings.
He worked in mechanical insulation for Midwest Insulation and Supply for 39 years. Dennie enjoyed hunting, tractors, riding horses, and spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren. He attended Southside Christian Church in Caneyville.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Peggy Edwards Cummings of Falls of Rough; two sons, Jamie Cummings of Falls of Rough & Jason Cummings (Amy) of Caneyville; five grandchildren, Leah Crawford (Brenis), and Danielle, Jacob, Colton & Jackson Cummings; four great-grandchildren, Lilly Jo, Annie, Frances & Erin Crawford; his mother, Marcella Cummings (James Mudd) of Caneyville; two brothers, Eddie Cummings (Cinda) of Caneyville & Daren Cummings (Anna), both of Caneyville; and a sister, Vickie Davis (Donnie) of Roundhill. KY. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than his father, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Danny Cummings.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, (October 06, 2025) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Kenny Carroll will be officiating. Burial will be in the Mahurin Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
