A Breckinridge County man has perished from injuries suffered during a residential fire in late September.
The blaze occurred on Saturday night, September 27 at approximately 10:30 in the 3000 block of Hwy 261 near Hardinsburg
The victim, 46-year-old Christopher D. Wilson, of Hardinsburg, was trapped inside the structure, and was removed from the home by Hardinsburg Fire Department (HFD) personnel, according to a social media post by HFD.
“Life-saving efforts were initiated on scene,” HFD said. Wilson was then airlifted to University of Louisville Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on Thursday.
Wilson, according to his obituary at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, “was a retired pipefitter with Local 502. He enjoyed the outdoors – hunting, fishing, searching for arrowheads, hiking and camping. He played pool and was a collector of many things. Chris loved being a Grandpa and looked forward to family gatherings.”
