
Danny Ray Stevenson, age 75, of Louisville, KY, passed away Saturday, (October 11, 2025) at Seneca Place in Louisville after a long illness. He was born on July 7, 1950 in Louisville, KY.
Danny was a painter by trade and owner of Stevenson Painting Company.
A 1968 graduate of Western High School, Danny was a gifted athlete. He was a member of his high school baseball team and a walk-on for the University of Louisville baseball team, where he was selected MVP. Danny was also State Racquetball Champion in his age division.
Danny’s love of baseball continued after college where he played on many softball teams and was elected to the Louisville Softball Hall of Fame. Besides sports, Danny also loved to fish and hunt.
Danny is survived by his four children, Nicole Stevenson, Adam Stevenson, Lauren Caple, and Danielle Caple; five grandchildren; and Dawn Caple, mother of three of his children. Surviving siblings are Jerry Stevenson, Rita Winters, and RoJeanna Pank (Paul).
Danny was preceded in death by his son, Brandon Caple; parents, Raymond and Mary Bernice Stevenson; brother, Kimmey Joe Stevenson; and ex-wife, Sandy Luckett Stevenson Richmond.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, (October 15, 2025) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Damon Lasley, Jr. will be officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday until time of services.
