Susann “Nina” Rozell, age 70, of Brownsboro, TX, passed away Sunday, (October 12, 2025) at Owensboro Health Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY. She was born on October 1, 1955 in Louisville, KY, the daughter of the late James Ashley and Betty Jewel Peters.

Susann had a deep love for horses. She and her husband founded Rozell Ranch Equine Rescue, which they have proudly owned and operated for the past ten years. Along with the horses, their ranch was home to many other animals that Susann adored. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, going to auctions, refurbishing old furniture and “junkin.” Above all, Susann had a passion for sharing the Lord’s word.

She is survived by her husband, Harold Rozell; daughters, Jennifer Davidson of Leitchfield, Brandy Willis of Lexington, Angela Willis Gonzalez (Reynaldo) of Caneyville and Tonya Gardner (Michael) of Radcliff; sons, Jerry Rozell (Amanda) of Garfield, AR and Christopher Rozell (Brooke) of Troup, TX; grandchildren, Kyle, Shannon, Trey, Aaron, Brandon, Kenzie, Garry, Jasmine, Damien, Rosalia, Nyah, Sadonna, Taylor, Austin, Michael Jr., Jason, Ryan and Autumn; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Wanda Langley of Leitchfield, Mary Belmont (Ken) of Delaware and Patricia Kindall (Rick) of Caneyville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Kelly and a brother, Bobby Ashley.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, (October 17, 2025) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Wayne Clemons will be officiating.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 .m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
