The Quick Response Team in Hardin County has issued an overdose alert.
The Hardin County Quick Response Team (QRT) is an arm of Hardin County government, and its mission, according to its website, “is to provide rapid, compassionate and effective responses to individuals and their families affected by substance abuse.”
QRT, in a statement linked on the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, states that the county is experiencing “a spike in overdoses.”
“If you or someone you know is actively using, please use caution,” QRT said in the alert.
The agency, led by Justin Blair, provides Hardin County residents with the locations of free Narcan distribution points around the county. Additionally, the agency provides information on available openings at treatment centers and recovery housing.
