An Eastern Kentucky University football player and his father have been arrested after attacking an assistant coach.
The incident happened after Saturday’s EKU game against Tarleton State in Richmond when redshirt junior cornerback Charles Ingram IV and his father, Charles Ingram V, both of Nashville, Tennessee, and three other people attacked the unidentified assistance coach in the parking lot of the campus’ Moberly Building, according to news outlets.
Surveillance video shows both the younger and elder Ingram punching the coach in the face.
The Ingram’s were arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault, second-degree disorderly conduct and first-criminal criminal mischief and lodged in the Madison County Detention Center. Neither suspect is currently listed as an inmate.
Ingram IV previously spent three seasons at Furman. He has been suspended from the EKU football team.
