Grayson County Alliance (GCA) is looking for help with food donations, as “donations are down this year” in this uncertain time.
“If you are looking for a way to make a difference locally here you go. Our food donations are down this year, but you can help us make sure we are ready to support anyone who reaches out for help,” GCA Executive Director Debbie Childress said in a social media post.
The GCA Food Pantry is a major source of nutritious food for Grayson County families who struggle with food insecurity. The pantry serves hundreds of Grayson County families every month.
The most needed items include cereal, oatmeal, rice, peanut butter, canned fruit, canned vegetables, tomato juice, canned meat (beef, chicken and tuna), mac and cheese, beef stew, and chili with meat.
If a financial donation is possible, every $1 donated to GCA produces eight meals.
“Together,” GCA said, “we will weather this difficult season.”
You may give online at https://gc-alliance.com/donate, or call 270-259-4000 to schedule a time to drop off a donation.
Grayson Co. Alliance is located at 2203 Brandenburg Road.
