A Madisonville teenager was arrested after assaulting a healthcare worker.

The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Jalaysia Robinson on Thursday and charged her with third-degree assault of a healthcare provider, a class D felony.

The alleged assault took place at Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville when Robinson grabbed a healthcare worker by the neck and “slammed her head into the wall,” according to a report by WFIE.com.

Police said Robinson used such force that the drywall was damaged.

Robinson then, while the victim was on the ground, struck the person in the head multiple times.

Robinson was lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center on a $2,000 cash bond. She is no longer listed as an inmate.
