A Hart County church has been the victim of a burglary.
A parishioner at Macedonia United Baptist Church in Cub Run said the burglary happened between 8:30 p.m. on Saturday night and 10:00 a.m. on Sunday morning.
“They took a decorative cherry antique table (half oval top with a shelf underneath),” the parishioner wrote in a social media post. “They also took boxes of paper products such as towels and toilet paper, our central vac system, and a bunch of canned drinks. They also stole our silver communion set used for our yearly service. They even stole the brand-new AED (automated external defibrillator) unit we purchased recently.”
The suspects also vandalized the church cemetery “by throwing garbage such as boxes and underwear all over,” the parishioner added.
Macedonia United Baptist Church is located at 14700 Cub Run Highway.
Anyone with information on this burglary is asked to contact the Hart County Sheriff’s Office at 270-524-2341.
