Patricia J. Young, age 92, of Leitchfield, passed away, Sunday, November 2, 2025, at her residence.
She was born November 26, 1932, in Shelbyville to the late George and Clara Tennell Williams. She was a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church; retired from Howard Johnson Hotel where she served as a restaurant manager and worked as a payroll clerk at Louisville Hardwoods. She enjoyed ceramic making, weaving and making rosaries.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Young; a daughter, Roberta “Bobbie” Young; a brother, Richard Ward and two sisters, Dorothy Beauchamp and Thelma McCarney.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Semar (John) of Leitchfield and Diane Boyd (Michael) of Jefferstown; four grandchildren, Robert, Stephen, Sarah and Christopher; six great-grandchildren, Makayla, Halie, Robby, Tyler, Ariana and Drake; one great-great-grandchild, Ashlyn; a brother, Roe Chandler Williams and two nephews, Donald and Allan Beauchamp.
Funeral mass will be held at 11 AM (CST), Saturday, November 8, 2025, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Clarkson with Rev. Brian Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Augustine Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 PM Friday, and from 9 to 10:30 AM Saturday at Rogers Funeral Home.
Prayer service will be held 7PM Friday at the funeral home, with Deacon T.J. Dennison officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Paul Catholic School.
