
A Hart County man has been accused of raping a child.
Kentucky State Police on Monday arrested 45-year-old Joseph Mathis, of Magnolia, on the strength of an indictment warrant charging him with first-degree rape (victim under the age of 12), first-degree sexual abuse (victim under the age of 12) and persistent felony offender, according to a report WNKY.com.
The indictment was handed down on November 4.
The suspect is being held in the Hart County Jail on a $500,000 cash bond.
