A church built in 1923 is for sale.
Breckenridge Street United Methodist Church, which has closed its doors, is for sale. Located at 1400 Breckenridge Street in Owensboro, the church is for sale for $595,000, according to Realmo.com.
The church is described by Realmo.com as a “Century old church building with classrooms, offices, meeting hall and kitchen. This facility features classic woodwork, a sanctuary that seats about 150, and ornate stained glass that’s sure to wow.”
The church is 5,057-square-feet and is on a .45 acre lot, according to Realmo.com. It features four bathrooms and a kitchen.
Realtor Brad Cecil is handling the sale after he was contacted by the Kentucky Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church.
Cecil told The Owensboro Times that he has already been contacted by multiple potential buyers, including growing churches looking to expand.
“With any luck, somebody can hold Christmas services there this year,” Cecil told The Owensboro Times. “Nothing would please me more.”
