A Kentucky congressman is publicizing the disappearance of a 13-year-old Rockcastle County girl missing for five weeks.
Wynter B. Wagoner was last seen in the Orlando area of Rockcastle County, about five miles east of Mt. Vernon, on October 14 at approximately 6:15 p.m.
The Rockcastle County Sheriff’s Office said investigators continue to work with Kentucky State Police, FBI and U.S. Marshals Service in searching for Wynter.
“Investigators have conducted numerous interviews, reviewed surveillance camera recordings and will continue to follow up on all tips (and) information received. These efforts are being conducted on a national level,” the sheriff’s office said in a social media post.
The sheriff’s office added that drone searches have been conducted in the area that Wynter was last seen, as well as “other areas of reported sightings.”
The Wagoner family reached out to U.S. Rep. Hal Rogers and asked him for help finding Wynter. Rogers in return posted information regarding Wynter’s disappearance on his Facebook page.
Wynter stands five feet, one inch tall and weighs 147 pounds. She has long brown hair, blue eyes and both ears are pierced. She also has a piercing on her right nostril.
Anyone with information on Wynter’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Rockcastle County Sheriff’s Office at 606-256-2121.
