Authorities in Bullitt County are looking for a Nelson County man accused of sexually abusing a young child.
John “Kevin” Taylor, 48, of Coxs Creek, is wanted for sexually abusing a child under the age of 12 and possession of child pornography after the Bullitt County Sheriff’s Office discovered nude photos of the victims on his cellphone earlier this year.
Taylor’s wife, Michelle Taylor, 43, also of Coxs Creek, attempted to stop police from searching her husband’s phone. As a result, she was charged with distribution of child pornography and tampering with physical evidence.
The Taylors were initially arrested in March. A Bullitt County Grand Jury indicted the couple in April.
John Taylor, according to the sheriff’s office, knows he is wanted, as police urged citizens not to approach the suspect.
John Taylor stands five feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds. He has brown hair and green eyes.
Anyone with information on his location is asked to contact the Bullitt County Sheriff’s Office at 502-543-7074; or call 911; or the agency’s crime tip line at 502-543-1262; or email crimetip@bcky.org.
