A power supplier and distributor in cooperation with Grayson County Alliance (GCA) are distributing free Christmas hams to electric customers.
The Tennessee Valley Authority in partnership with Warren RECC and GCA will hand out free hams to customers on Monday, December 15 at the Grayson County Fairgrounds.
The hams will be distributed between 9:00 a.m. and noon.
“You must present a Warren RECC bill and an ID with a matching address to receive a ham, and members who live in any county in the Warren RECC service territory are eligible,” the companies said in the announcement.
Additionally, free hams will be handed out to WRECC customers on Wednesday, December 17 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Butler County Road Department at 462 Boat Factory Road in Morgantown.
In total, TVA is partnering with eight local power providers in nine Kentucky counties to provide 3,814 hams to families this holiday season.
WRECC serves over 75,000 customers in Grayson, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Logan, Ohio, Simpson, and Warren counties.
As of December 31, 2023, there were 11,356 WRECC customers in Grayson County.
