Brenda Fay Roof, age 72, of Clarkson, KY, passed away Wednesday, (December 10, 2025) at Owensboro Health Twin Lakes in Leitchfield, KY.
She was born on April 18, 1953 in Hardin County, KY, the daughter of the late Ernest and Hilma Cane Roof.
She was a line worker who enjoyed singing, sewing, attending live gospel concerts and spending time with her family and her church family. She was a member of the Blowtown House of Prayer.
She is survived by a son, Stephen Mitchell Pleasant (Lynn); a daughter, Angela Renee Brooks; six grandchildren, Kyle Pleasant (Brittnie), Eric Pleasant, Luke Stone (Amber), Tiffany Stevenson (Tyler), Mylan Salsman and Cassidy Thomas; eight great-grandchildren, Braxton, Easton, Eli, Danlee, Hudson, Mylan Jr, Karsyn & Jayla; two brothers, Kenny & Delbert Roof; three sisters, Darlene Grubbs, Regina Huff & Marsha Edwards. Multiple nieces, nephews and a special friend, Michael Bussberg Sr. also survive.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Billy, Wendell & Melvin Roof; and one sister, Lucille Campbell.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, (December 16, 2025) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Terry Decker & Bro. Joey Decker will be officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday and from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.
