A motorist drove into a residence and parked vehicle in Caneyville and fled the scene on foot.
Grayson County Deputies Joel Baker, Hunter Miller and Caleb Fisher responded to the incident Wednesday night at approximately 9:10 in the 300 block of South Main Street (Hwy 185).
Upon arriving at the scene, police found that a southbound GMC Safari van left the roadway and traveled on a steep embankment before jumping a driveway. The van then struck the resident’s Toyota Highlander and house as it wedged between the two.
The home’s occupant briefly made contact with the male driver before the driver fled the scene on foot.
Deputies searched for the suspect for well over an hour with no luck.
The home and Highlander suffered moderate damage. The occupant was not injured.
The investigation is ongoing.
