Three Leitchfield businesses were burglarized and vandalized during the early morning hours of Sunday.
The Leitchfield Police Department and Grayson County Sheriff’s Office responded Sunday morning at approximately 2:00 to a business alarm in the 1500 block of Elizabethtown Road.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers found that three separate businesses under the same roof – The Jewelry Box, Twisted Scizzors Family Hair Salon and Grayson County Cards & Collectibles – had been broken into.
The suspect[s] caused major damage to the businesses. It’s unclear at this point how much merchandise was stolen, but according to a social media post, it appears no items were pilfered from Grayson County Cards & Collectibles.
The Leitchfield Police Department’s investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
A GoFundMe account has been opened to support Twisted Scizzors Family Hair Salon, which suffered a tremendous amount of vandalism. To visit the fundraiser page, click here.
