Fire departments from Caneyville and Leitchfield were dispatched to assist a fellow firefighter as a large garage caught fire.
The Caneyville and Leitchfield Fire Departments along with Grayson County Emergency Management responded Monday morning at approximately 6:15 to the fire in the 1800 block of Bowling Green Road (Hwy 185).
There were multiple explosions inside the unattached garage, as the fire, on the property of a longtime Caneyville fireman, fully engulfed the structure that contained two vehicles and a Polaris Ranger.
All three vehicles along with the garage were completely destroyed.
The siding on a nearby residence was melted by the heat generated by the blaze.
The Caneyville fireman whose garage was destroyed could be seen showing his appreciation to his fellow firefighters for battling the blaze.
No injuries were reported.
