An unidentified man has been found deceased on the porch of an Ohio County church.
The man was found Monday on the porch of Green River Baptist Church at 7589 Hwy 231 south in Cromwell, the Ohio County Coroner’s Office told The Owensboro Times.
The man was seen earlier, on Monday afternoon between 1:00 and 2:00, at Jones Funeral Chapel at 927 W G L Smith Street (Hwy 231) in Morgantown.
The victim was in his 60s or 70s and stood about six feet tall. He was malnourished.
The coroner’s office said the man had long blond hair and a beard. He was wearing a red, white and blue baseball cap with a smiley face. He also had on an aqua-colored jacket with a stripe across the chest. He was wearing cartoon-print pants with a gold ring with initials on his left pinky finger. He had been riding a new blue mountain bike.
Authorities believe he may have been seeking shelter and died from exposure.
