A Falls of Rough man has died in a two-vehicle accident in Breckinridge County.
Kentucky State Police said troopers responded to the fatal accident on Monday afternoon at approximately 5:00 near the four-mile marker of Hwy 79.
State police said its investigation showed that a Hyundai Sonata, being driven by 42-year-old Justin Nance, of Falls of Rough, crossed the center line and struck a Jeep Patriot head-on.
Nance was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Breckinridge County Coroner’s Office.
The driver of the Jeep, 41-year-old Daniella Wright, of Louisville, was transported to University of Louisville Hospital. Her current condition was not released by police.
The accident remains under investigation by KSP Post 4 accident reconstructionist, Trooper Scott Wheatley.
According to state police, assisting at the scene were the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Office, Breckinridge County Fire & Rescue, Breckinridge County EMS, Breckinridge County Coroner’s Office, and Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
