Human remains have been found in a remote area of northern Warren County.
The remains were located on Thursday “in a heavily wooded area off the 7300 block of Richardsville Road (Hwy 263),” the Warren Co. Sheriff’s Office said in a social media post.
The area where the remains were found is just south of the small community of Riverside, and approximately seven miles north of Richardsville, not far from the Butler County line.
The Warren Co. Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Processing Team responded and processed the scene. The remains will be sent for a “forensic exam,” the sheriff’s office said.
The sheriff’s office added that there is “no threat to the community as we do not believe there was any found play involved.”
