A death investigation is underway after a person was found deceased at a residential fire in Ohio County.
The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office responded to the fire at approximately 2:15 Sunday afternoon in Centertown after dispatch received information that someone was inside the residence. Upon deputies and first responders arriving at the scene, a body was discovered in the home, the sheriff’s office said.
The identity of the person and the cause of the fire have not been released.
A death investigation is being conducted by the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office.
