Charlotte Ann Dennis, 82, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Monday (January, 19, 2026) at her residence in Leitchfield, KY. She was born on, March 3, 1943, in Decker, KY, the daughter of the late Brodie and Tanzie Woodcock Embry.
She was a retired seamstress and current Homemaker who enjoyed sewing, tending to her flower and vegetable gardens, and spending quality time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren who affectionately called her “mamaw mamaw.” She was a member of the Big Clifty Independent United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Donald Dennis; a son, Greg Dennis (Lisa) of Big Clifty; daughters, Pamela Fulkerson of Big Clifty, and Rhonda Farris (Timmy) of Clarkson; Six grandchildren, Amanda Priddy (David), Sami Jo Masterson (Justin), Tara Dennis, Megan Welch (Michael), Tyler Dennis (Tiffany Chaffins) and Colin Farris; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers; Arlin Embry (Charlotte) of Owensboro, KY, Emmanuel Embry of Welch’s Creek; three sisters, Elaine Smith of Illinois, Mary Decker of Sadler and Debra Embry of Welch’s Creek. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a son in law, Barry Fulkerson; a brother Marlin Embry and a sister, Patty Embry; two brothers-in-law Sonny Smith and Denvard Decker.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, (January 28, 2026) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Big Clifty.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on (Tuesday,
January 27) and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
