A firefighter is recovering after a semi-truck crashed into a Northeast Nelson Fire Department vehicle on the Bluegrass Parkway.
The fire department, based in Bloomfield, was returning to the fire station after responding to a call at approximately 1:00 Thursday afternoon when the fire truck was struck by the semi on the Bluegrass Parkway in Nelson County.
A firefighter suffered non-life threatening injuries, according to the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office.
The fire truck suffered extensive front-end damage.
