
One person has perished in a camper fire in Hardin County.
The Upton Fire Department responded to the fire on Saturday morning at approximately 8:45 in the 14700 block of South Dixie Highway in Upton.
Firefighters were advised while en route that someone could possibly be inside the camper. Upon their arrival, the camper was fully engulfed in flames, according to the Upton FD.
It took firefighters approximately 15 minutes to bring the blaze under control. During a subsequent search of the camper, a body was discovered.
The Kentucky Fire Marshall’s Office is investigating the fire.
The name of the person found deceased in the fire has not been released.
The Sonora Fire Department assisted at the scene.
