A Glendale man has been arrested for procuring an Indiana juvenile for sex purposes and multiple counts of indecent exposure.
Kentucky State Police said the agency’s Electronic Crime Branch arrested 51-year-old Christopher S. Barnes on Tuesday and charged him with three counts of procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means and three counts of first-degree indecent exposure.
He was also charged with being fugitive from another state.
State police said the Santa Claus Police Department in Santa Claus, Indiana, began the investigation after discovering the suspect procuring a minor online. Barnes was later identified to be a Kentucky resident, as the investigation was transferred to the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch.
The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at Barnes’ residence in Glendale on Tuesday where equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination.
The investigation is ongoing.
Barnes was lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center on a $50,000 cash bond.
