A juvenile was airlifted after his vehicle was struck by a semi-truck in Breckinridge County.

The accident occurred Wednesday afternoon at approximately 3:45 on Hwy 60 between Hardinsburg and Cloverport.

The Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Office told WXBC.com that when a FedEx driver pulled back onto the roadway after making a delivery, the vehicle drove into the path of a semi-truck, being driven by Carroll Hager.

As Hager attempted to take evasive measures, the semi struck a Dodge Charger, being driven by a 17-year-old.

The collision caused the semi-truck to flip over a guardrail.

Hager was transported to Baptist Health Hardin where he was treated and released.

The 17-year-old was airlifted from Brandenburg to University of Louisville Hospital where he underwent surgery on a broken leg on Thursday morning.
