A motorcyclist was arrested a day after after leading Kentucky State Police on a pursuit in Grayson County.
Kentucky State Police said that on Friday afternoon at approximately 3:10, Trooper Joey Beasly and newly minted Trooper Hannah Keeling observed a Harley-Davidson Sportster motorcycle traveling on Owensboro Road (Hwy 54) without a visible registration plate. The troopers attempted a traffic stop, but the motorcyclist fled.
The pursuit, according to state police, was later terminated. Through an investigation, though, the motorcyclist was identified as 49-year-old Ronald H. Geary, 49, of Beaver Dam.
Troopers also determined Geary had a laundry list of outstanding warrants for his arrest.
Geary was located and arrested by troopers on Saturday and lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center where he was charged with two counts of felony wanton endangerment of a police officer, fleeing or evading police, reckless driving, speeding 26 mph or greater over the speed limit, improper passing, speeding in a restricted zone, driving on a suspended/revoked operator’s license, failure to signal/improper signal, and improper passing.
Geary was also served with warrants out of Ohio County on two counts of fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle, on foot), second-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, operating an off-road vehicle on public/private land without consent, and flagrant non-support.
Additionally, Geary was served with warrants out of Warren County for reckless driving, speeding 21 mph or more over the speed limit (limited access highway), driving on a suspended/revoked operator’s license, failure to signal/improper signal, and following another vehicle too closely.
