Grayson County Cougar basketball’s run in the 3rd Region tournament is set to commence this week from the Owensboro Sportscenter.

It will be the 15th straight year that the event has been held at the facility that is home to Kentucky Wesleyan and Owensboro Catholic.

For the second straight year, the athletic directors of the 3rd Region have voted to require that our video coverage be placed behind a paywall. New this year, the mandated cost has increased from $7.99/game to $10.00/game.

The majority of these funds will go to the region and not to K105 Digital Productions.

As a result, Wednesday’s matchup against Muhlenberg County will not be available to watch live on YouTube as our regular season broadcasts have been.

Instead, it will be available for purchase starting Tuesday evening at this link.

Coverage of the game will remain free to listen over the air on 104.9, via the K105 stream, or on the K105 app.

Following the conclusion of the game, the broadcast will be uploaded to the K105 YouTube channel for those who prefer to watch afterward.

We hope this clarity helps the community and fan base understand this is not a decision we support or would have made, but one we are forced to oblige with. Go Cougars!
