A Bullitt County woman has died in a head-on collision.
Kentucky State Police said troopers responded to the crash on Saturday evening at approximately 7:30 near the intersection of Hwy 44 and Watergate Drive, between Shepherdsville and Mt. Washington.
The state police investigation showed that a Toyota Tacoma, being driven by a juvenile, was traveling west on Hwy 44 when the passenger-side tires dropped off the right side of the roadway onto a steep shoulder.
The driver then overcorrected, causing the vehicle to cross the center line into the path of an eastbound Ford Escape, being driven by 27-year-old Sarah Weisman, of Shepherdsville.
The two vehicles hit head-on, resulting in the Ford traveling down a small embankment and flipping onto its roof.
Weisman was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Bullitt County Coroner’s Office. The juvenile was not injured.
