A missing nine-year-old girl diagnosed with autism has been found deceased.

Kentucky State Police issued a IAN Alert for Jenny Dim, of Florence, on Friday night. She had last been seen on MacIntosh Lane in Florence at approximately 5:00 p.m. Friday.

(IAN Alerts are used when children under the age of 18 with autism or mental illness go missing and may be in danger.)

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office said Jenny was found at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday deceased in a pond near her residence by the Hamilton County (OH) Water Search and Rescue squad.

Jenny marks at least the third missing child in Kentucky diagnosed with autism to be found deceased in a body of water since July 2025.

According to the Autism Society of Florida: “Water has a captivating allure that attracts people from all walks of life. However, individuals with autism often exhibit a strong fascination and attraction to water that goes beyond what the rest of us may experience.”
