Grayson County High School’s Jagger Mardis has committed to Brescia to continue his basketball career.

Mardis emerged as the leader of the Cougar team that made a historic run to the state semifinals this past season.

He started his career at LaRue County before transferring to Grayson County for his final season of high school basketball.

Through his career, he finished with 1,825 points.

Mardis will join a Bearcat squad that finished with a 6-20 record and lost in the conference quarterfinals.

They are coached by Matt Karn, who was a star at Ohio County before playing college ball at Nebraska.
