A Hardin County man who faced 70 years in prison on rape, sodomy and incest charges has reached a plea agreement.
Nicholas Ray Moses, 38, of Eastview, was facing multiple charges, including first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy, two counts of incest, first-degree strangulation (domestic violence), second-degree assault, and six counts of third-degree endangering the welfare of a minor in two separate cases that took place in 2024, according to The New-Enterprise.
Moses was accused of assaulting multiple children — one child he struck with a baseball bat — and also engaged in a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old girl.
He was facing 70 years in prison but reached a plea deal where he pled guilty last week to first-degree strangulation, second-degree assault, third-degree rape, third-degree sodomy, and six counts of third-degree endangering the welfare of a minor.
Moses agreed to a 10-year term in prison. He won’t be eligible for parole until he serves at least 85 percent of the sentence.
He will be formally sentenced on May 10.
