A man has been shot and killed after stabbing a probation and parole officer.
Kentucky State Police said the incident happened on Friday just before noon in McCracken County.
The state police investigation showed that three officers from the Department of Corrections, Probation & Parole, arrived at 2821 Marquees Drive in Paducah to conduct a home visit. While at the residence, probation and parole officers encountered 22-year-old Rayshawn Tucker, of Paducah, who police said was not associated with the home visit.
Tucker attacked the officers, stabbing one of the probation and parole officers with a knife, resulting in the injured officer along with another probation and parole officer shooting Tucker.
Tucker was transported to Baptist Health Paducah where he was later pronounced deceased.
Two probation and parole officers were transported to nearby hospitals where they were treated and released.
