
The Walmart in Leitchfield has been evacuated following a bomb threat.
Please avoid the area if possible, as police and the Leitchfield Fire Department have blocked access to the business.
Leitchfield Police Department Assistant Chief Ian Renfrow issued the following statement to K105:
“Emergency responders are currently on the scene at Leitchfield Walmart. Emergency responders have closed off the parking lot and surrounding areas.”
A bomb threat was called in to the Walmart in Stanford in Lincoln County on Thursday. After a search of the store, the threat was found to be unsubstantiated.
UPDATE 12:30 p.m.: Law enforcement conducted a thorough search of the Walmart building with no devices or other threats found.
