
A juvenile is in custody following a domestic violence shooting in Owensboro.
The Owensboro Police Department said that on Friday night at 7:00, officers responded to the shooting in the 3000 block of Daviess Street.
Upon officers arriving at the scene, they discovered an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
“Early reports show there was a disturbance between an adult child and his mother at the home that led to the shooting,” the Owensboro PD said in a press release.
A male juvenile was taken into custody and is, according to Owensboro police, “believed to be the shooter.”
The investigation is ongoing.
