Sunday morning at approximately 3:45, Kentucky State Police responded to the FiveStar at 364 East Western Avenue, in Sonora, on the report of an armed robbery.
Police said a white male brandishing a black handgun entered the store demanding cash and merchandise. He is described as having white hair and blue eyes. He was wearing tan military style boots and a gray hoodie type jacket, according to Kentucky State Police spokesman Jeff Gregory.
Gregory said store employee noted that the suspect had a “very distinctive deep voice.”
The suspect left FiveStar traveling in the direction of the Sonora Dollar General Store.
