With temperatures hovering in the low 30s until about 9:00 Monday morning (when temps should rise into the mid-to-high 30s), the roads throughout the county are slushy and at some points very slick.
At about 7:00 Monday morning, Leitchfield Police reported the intersection of South Main Street and the William Thomason Byway is a solid sheet of ice. Bridges are also ice covered.
There have been two reported vehicle slide-offs, one on the Western Kentucky Parkway, and on Summit Road where a vehicle flipped onto its side. There was also a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of South Main Street and the William Thomason Byway.
No injuries were reported in any of the accidents.
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet spokesman Chris Jessie said motorists should drive with additional caution and be aware there are a few reports of trees and limbs across roads due to the heavy, wet snow.
