Ohio Co. Sheriff’s Office arrests three with history of drug charges after yearlong investigation

The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office continued its round-up of alleged drug offenders after a yearlong investigation by recently serving indictment warrants on three suspects.

Ohio County Sheriff Tracy Beatty said the three men arrested were:

  • Charles Casey Sapp, 39, who was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine) – Sapp was convicted in October 2017 in Ohio County for possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). He is on parole until 2022.
  • William Bratcher, 46, was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (Oxycodone) – In June of last year, Bratcher was arrested on multiple drug possession charges in Ohio County.
  • Joshua S. Estep, 34,of Beaver Dam, was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), being a persistent felony offender, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of marijuana, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of carrying a concealed weapon, and terroristic threatening — Estep’s arrest history goes back to at least 2012 and includes not only multiple drug charges but also violent crimes.

All three were lodged in the Ohio County Detention Center, but according to the jail website, only Estep remains incarcerated. He’s being held on a $30,000 bond.

The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office has now arrested seven of the 14 suspects identified during the yearlong investigation. In total, the 14 suspects face 41 mostly drug-related charges (27 of the charges are felonies).
