Friday afternoon at approximately 2:00, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, and Clarkson Fire and Police Departments responded to the Clarkson eastbound off-ramp on the Western Kentucky Parkway on the report of a single-vehicle accident.

According to Deputy Taylor Logsdon, upon his arrival, two nurses were performing CPR on the victim, 53-year-old Michael Hack, of Leitchfield, after he was ejected from a Ford F-150 truck in a rollover accident. Dep. Logsdon also performed life-saving measures in the form of chest compressions. Despite their efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Grayson County Deputy Coroner Larry Holeman.

It appears from marks at the scene that Hack briefly left the left side of the road as he drove on the ramp, over-corrected and traveled back across the roadway and down an embankment before flipping at least once. The truck came to rest on its top after traveling about 300 feet.

Also responding to the scene were Deputy Dylan Bohn and Special Deputy Mark Stanton.
