Caneyville Constable Alvin Dockery captured a Mammoth Cave man wanted in Edmonson County on several felony charges.

Saturday night at approximately 10:00, Constable Dockery attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a vehicle on Watershed Road. The vehicle traveled on Watershed Road to Beaver Dam Road where it began fleeing east.

Upon reaching Millwood, the vehicle turned onto Pleasant View Road where it came to a stop, with both occupants fleeing on foot. Constable Dockery, though, chased 23-year-old Steven W. Embry, of Mammoth Cave, with Embry quickly throwing up his hands and giving up.

Grayson County Deputy Rance Whobrey arrived on the scene shortly after Constable Dockery captured Embry, and searched for the driver, who ran into a wooded area toward Beaver Dam Road, without success.

Embry was wanted in Edmonson County on a multitude of charges, including wanton endangerment, domestic violence assault, assault under extreme emotional disturbance, and being a persistent felony offender.

He was transported to the Grayson County Detention Center before being transferred to the Hart County Jail.
