The four-year-old boy injured in a mobile home fire early Friday morning in Ohio County has died.

John-Ross Henry died at Vanderbilt University Medical Center of injuries sustained in the fire, the family told the Ohio County Monitor. His two-year-old sister, Ivy Henry, was pronounced dead at the scene; seven-year-old Ireland Henry remains hospitalized.

The children’s mother, Christin Henry, was originally taken to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital but later airlifted to Vanderbilt. Father, John Henry, was also transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.

According to Ohio County Sheriff Tracy Beatty, early Friday morning firefighters from multiple fire departments, including the Fordsville, Dundee and Whitesville FDs, responded to 3850 Hwy 54 in Reynolds Station to battle a structure fire. The OCSO and Kentucky State Police also responded to the scene where authorities discovered that Christin and John Henry, and two of their three children, escaped the burning mobile home. Ivy, though, was found inside the residence after the fire was extinguished.
