A former Pulaski County deputy jailer has been indicted on a murder charge

Sheila Keith, 27, was charged with facilitation to commit to murder and tampering with physical evidence in the murder of 46-year-old April L. Neikirk, of Waynesburg, in Lincoln County earlier this year.

Keith is the third person indicted for the murder along with 45-year-old Otha Wesley, who is charged with domestic violence murder, and 31-year-old Whitney Soard, both of Pulaski County. Wesley was seen around April 26, “shoving, punching, dragging and kicking the victim,” according to previous media reports.

Neikirk’s body was found in a wooded area in Lincoln County on June 5.

Wesley and Soard are being held in the Lincoln County Detention Center on $500,000 cash bonds, with Keith being held in the same facility on a $200,000 cash bond.

Back in May, Keith – a deputy jailer in Pulaski County at the time – was arrested after police found 10 grams of methamphetamine and a duty weapon in her car during a traffic stop.
