Thursday just before noon, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-car accident in the 800 block of Blue Level Road.

Upon arriving at the scene, police found the vehicle fully engulfed in flames.

The driver, 73-year-old Susan Stalker, of Bowling Green, was pulled from the burning vehicle by a Good Samaritan, 18-year-old Johnny Lay, also of Bowling Green, police said, as Lay placed himself in danger to pull Stalker out of the burning vehicle and carry her to safety.

Stalker, who was not wearing a seat belt, was transported to a local hospital.
