On Tuesday, August 7, Kentucky State Police received a call regarding an assault on Brown Road, near Franklin.
Upon arriving at the scene, police found that 19-year-old Damain Cook, of Franklin, had suffered serious injuries during the assault. He was transported to Skyline Regional Medical Center where he died on Saturday.
After an investigation, police arrested 23-year-old Jordan Alford, of Portland, Tennessee and 52-year-old Amie J. Alford, of Franklin, and charged each with Cook’s murder. Authorities have not identified the relationship, if any, between the two suspects.
Both are being held in the Simpson County Detention Center on $250,000 bonds.
